Neue Kraft

 

Neue Kraft hast Du gegeben,

Neuen Mut, genug zum Leben.

Neue Sicht, auf alte Dinge,

Ein neues Lied, dass ich heut’ singe.

 

Ein Lied, dass Deine Schöpfung ehrt,

Ein Lied, dass Deine Worte lehrt.

Ein Lied, der Weisheit und Geduld,

Komm zu uns Herr, vergib die Schuld.

 

Komm, und segne unsre Werke,

Komm, und gib uns Deine Stärke.

Komm, erhöre unser Flehen,

Laß uns Deinen Weg heut gehen.

 

Laß uns sein, ein Teil von Dir,

Laß nichts böses sein in mir.

Laß mich treu im Glauben stehn,

und laß mich all die Wunder sehn.

 

Ein Lied der Liebe, sei mein Leben.

Komm, erfülle heut dein Wort.

Laß mein Herz, voll Freude geben,

Du, der einzig Zufluchtsort.

You’ve given me new strength,

New courage, enough to live.

New outlook on old things,

A new song, which today I sing.

 

A song to praise all you’ve created,

A song that teaches your word.

A song of wisdom and patience,

Come to us Lord, forgive us our guilt.

 

Come and praise our work,

Come and give us your strength.

Come and hear our pleas,

Let us follow your path today.

 

Let us be a part of you,

Let there be no evil in me.

Let me be true to my faith,

And let me see all your wonders.

 

Let my life be a song of love.

Come and fulfil your word today.

Let my heart give joyously,

You, the one true sanctuary.
